Abstract:

PURPOSE: To effectively utilize space on the upper surface of a camera, to make the camera compact and to reduce the cost by providing a frame number plate which turns centering around a release button on the upper surface of the camera.

CONSTITUTION: A counter window 14a is provided near the release button 50 on the upper surface of a cover 14, and an index 100 for indicating the number of frames of a film is provided near the window 14a. Furthermore, a counter gear 58 is provided on the upper part of a transmission shaft 51 through which the rotation of a sprocket 52 is transmitted to the upper part of the camera so that it can slide in a shaft direction, and a gear meshing with the gear 58 is engraved on an outer periphery and is taken as the frame number plate 49 by adding the frame number of the film on its surface. A counter base plate 60 is constituted so that it may be used as a supporting part when the plate 49 rotates and may function as a guide when the button 50 slides up and down. Thus, the space on the upper surface of the camera is effectively utilized.
