PURPOSE: To facilitate execution of work with the degree of freedom in directions for a downspout improved by a method wherein a part in broad width available for inserting a sideways pipe body therein and a part in large diameter available for inserting a sideways or longitudinal pipe body in rectangular section therein are provided to an opening of a water-collecting part.

CONSTITUTION: A water-collecting part 1 availabvle for inserting two pipe bodies in rectangular section therein is provided to the upper part, and a drain tube 11 is provided to the lower part. In a coupled rainwater hopper formed as mentioned above, a part 13 in broad width and shallow depth available for inserting a sideways downspout 2 in rectangular section therein and a part 14 with large diameter and in broad width and deep depth available for inserting a sideways and a longitudinal downspouts 2 in rectangular section therein are provided to an opening of the water-collecting part 1. Therefore, the degree of freedom in directions for the downspout 2 to be inserted into the opening can be improved while execution of work can be facilitated. Furthermore, in the case where goosenecks 61, 62 are intersecting each other, elbows 71, 72 to be used are limited only to normal elbows 71, 72.
