Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupling device of folding chairs capable of easily and quickly coupling chairs and having a simple configuration in the coupling device for laterally coupling the folding chairs.SOLUTION: A fitting box 5 is fixed to a seat part 3 of the folding chair by insertion pieces 11 and screws. Substantially elliptical-cross-sectional through-holes 9 are provided in both side plates 6 of the fitting box 5, and a coupling pipe 32 is inserted in the through-holes. A pair of couplers 20 include leg insertion grooves 22 formed on both sides of locking parts 21, and engagement pieces 29 are provided at edges of the leg insertion grooves. The legs 1 of the folding chair are inserted in the leg insertion grooves of the couplers, and the locking parts 21 are screwed shut, with the engagement pieces geared with each other, to fix the couplers to the legs.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
