To enable easy detachment of lenses and to prevent thread breakage, in spectacles in which spectacle lenses are held by partial rims and a high tensile thread.
The coupling device 110 for rims and a high tensile thread is a metallic cylindrical device having a slit 130 made in parallel with the direction of its major axis, a high tensile thread 140 is inserted in the internal hole 132 in the cylindrical device, and almost all the cylindrical device is made narrower so that it can be fastened in edge grooves in the rims. One or more pawls 150 for preventing coming-off of the high tensile thread are formed on the internal surface 134 of the cylindrical device, and one or more pawls 151 for preventing coming-off from the rims are formed on the external surface 136 in such a way that they face in the opposite direction with respect to the pawls on the internal surface. The coupling device is used for spectacles.
