To provide a method for fixedly and sealingly securing a plurality of components to one another, and provide also an assembly.
The method for fixedly and sealingly securing components includes: providing a fitting having a body and a pair of axially spaced apart seals, the body having an insertion end; providing a structure; engaging the fitting and the structure to one another such that the pair of seals sealing engage the body and the structure; and after the fitting and the structurer have been engaged to one another, installing an adhesive to a zone disposed between the body, the structure and the seals to retain the body to the structure. A fitting and an assembly are also provided. The fluid conduit assembly having a fitting assembly and a pair of hollow structures that are received into a body of the fitting assembly. The fitting assembly includes a body and two sets of seals that are engaged to the body and to an associated one of the hollow structures.
