Abstract:
To make it possible to downsize a body and to securely perform operation of setting a rod at an initial position in setting a cover to the body after maintenance or the like.SOLUTION: A water flow detector includes: a hollow body 1 in which a valve 7 having a swing check valve structure is provided; a rod 11 that is displaced by opening/closing operation of the valve 7 and has one end 11A engaged with the valve 7 and the other end 11B protruding to the outside of the body 1; an aperture 1a formed on the body 1 through which the valve 7 is taken out and put in; and a switch 17 provided on a cover 1b for closing the aperture 1a. The other end 11B is disposed in the vicinity of the switch 17. The rod 11 is positioned at an initial position when the valve is closed and, at the time of opening the valve, is displaced to an actuation position for actuating the switch 17 to output a signal. In fitting the cover 1b to the water flow detector, the cover 1b is fitted to the aperture 1a in a state in which the rod 11 is held at the initial position to engage the valve 7 with the rod 11 and, after that, the holding of the rod 11 is released to enable the rod 11 to be displaced by opening/closing operation of the valve 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
