Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a covering sheet having various functions such as grass- proofing one, in particular high air-and water permeability as well, intended for regulating plant growth environment through covering on the ground such as in the case of a mulching sheet. SOLUTION: This covering sheet 1 is such one as to be made by plain weaving of warps and wefts; wherein there are provided a plurality of raised coarse weaves 2 in such a manner that a plurality of warps in close proximity to one another and a plurality of wefts in close proximity to one another do not cross with each other, respectively, resulting in improving the air-and water permeability of the final covering sheet; furthermore, the coarse weaves 2 are composed of smaller ones mainly designed to improve the air-and water permeability and/or larger ones especially designed to be made suitable for the seeding and planting operations.
