Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To check the worn state of an inner surface liner in a bell-less chute and to vent gas in a furnace in a short time and also, to reduce the number of opening parts arranged at a furnace top iron shell.
SOLUTION: A manhole 2 for checking the liner for observing the inner surface liner in the bell-less chute 5 is arranged in a cover 12 for exchanging the chute, and the cover 12 for checking the liner is fitted freely attachably and detachably to the manhole 2 for checking the liner. Further, in such a structure, a manhole 3 for venting gas in the furnace is arranged in the cover 12 for checking the liner, and a cover 13 for gas-vent is fitted freely detachably to the manhole 3 for venting gas in the furnace. Thus, the checking of the worn state of the inner surface liner in the bell-less chute 5 as well as the venting of gas in the furnace can easily be performed in a short time, and the reduction of a facity cost according to the decrease of the number of the opening parts arranged at the furnace top iron shell can be achieved.
