Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated cutting tool excellent in wear resistance and defect resistance even under a cutting condition of processing at high speed and as a result, capable of processing over an extended period.SOLUTION: A coated cutting tool includes a substrate and a coating layer having first and second laminated structures in which two types of compound layers having compositions different from each other are alternately laminated and a lamination number is 3 or more. Among two types of compound layers in the first and second laminated structures, one and the other compound layers comprise respective specific compositions, and the first and second laminated structures satisfy respective prescribed conditions. Further, each layer composing the first and second laminated structures and the coating layer have respective prescribed average thicknesses.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
