To provide a method for efficiently and continuously covering the outer peripheral surfaces of core materials each cut in a constant length with a sleeve-like braid comprising linear materials, and to provide a device therefor.
This method for covering core materials comprises using a braid-forming device comprising a braid-forming machine 5 for forming a sleeve- like braid B from plural fed embroidering linear materials W, a core material- feeding means for feeding core materials C into an embroidering opening at which the formation of the sleeve-like braid B from the plural embroidering linear materials W is started, and a take-off means 6 for continuously taking off the core material C covered with a sleeve-like braid B. Therein a hollow orifice member 4 for opening at least the embroidering opening of the sleeve-like braid, and a feeding means for intermittently feeding the core materials C each having a constant length into the embroidering opening of the sleeve-like braid B opened with the hollow orifice member 4 in an upward tapered state are disposed in the embroidering machine.
