Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a covering material for an electric cable which can maintain such a degree of melt viscosity as to be easy to mold and at the same time exhibits excellent stress-crack resistance and an MIT bending life.
CONSTITUTION: This covering material comprises a fluoride copolymer including a monomer unit of 99% by mole to 80% by mole based on tetrafluoroethylene and a monomer unit of 1% by mole to 20 % by mole based on fluorine- containing vinyl ether expressed by the following formula: CF2=CFOCH2(CF2)nX (wherein, X is a halogen atom or a hydrogen atom, and (n) is an integer of not less than 1).
