PURPOSE: To enhance the mounting precision of a wiper unit and a front window panel as well as of a wiper motor and a wiper pivot, and to protect electric parts located near a cowl box vertical wall from a carried water.

CONSTITUTION: A cowl top panel 3 of a cowl box 1 is integrally formed of a vertical wall 3a and an upper wall 3b, and a bracket 16 which projects forwards is provided on an upper edge portion of the vertical wall 3a in the widthwise direction of the vehicle. A front end portion of a cowl cover 5 and a hood seal rubber 6 are fixed to this bracket 16 by use of clips 12 while the bracket 16 is formed with a chute 17 for catching a carried water flowing forwards on the upper surface of the cowl box 1 and guiding it for drainage in the widthwise direction of the vehicle.
