Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cowling of a motorcycle for improving an aerodynamic characteristic and travel stability without increasing front projection area of a screen.
SOLUTION: The cowling covers a rider in a forward tilting riding attitude in the front view of the vehicle, the screen 11 lower than the height of a helmet is disposed just in front of the helmet 9 in a forward tilting riding attitude in the side view of the vehicle, and the cowling is attached so that the screen partially overlaps on the front surface side of the helmet. A front cowling 10 swells a curved surface radius of the screen as a projecting surface having a radius smaller than the curved surface radius of a screen part corresponding to a shoulder section of the rider in the front view of the vehicle. The front part of the handle bar 5 is constituted in the maximum width, a border line of a vehicle part in contact with the rider in the forward tilting riding attitude is decreased forward in the side view of the vehicle, a seat cowl 13 lower than the height of the top of the screen 11 is disposed on the backside of the vehicle, and the projecting surface 14 whose height is decreased toward the back of the vehicle is disposed on the upper surface of the seat cowl.
