To provide a crane type heave damper device for suppressing the oscillation of a submarine device lifted up on a sea surface.
The crane type heave damper device 3 comprises a boom mechanism 20 to be supported on a deck of a hull and adapted for swinging and derricking motion, a heave cylinder 31 for giving derricking motion to the boom mechanism 20, an accumulator 32 for applying pressure into the heave cylinder 31, and a wire 4 and a winch provided on the boom mechanism 20 for lifting the submarine device 2 and for winding the wire 4, respectively, wherein the heave cylinder 31 changes the derricking angle of the boom mechanism 20 with pressure introduced by the accumulator 32 to provide tension for the wire 4. An expander 46 has a follower 49 movable in parallel to the axial direction of a base 48 mounted at the end of the boom mechanism 20, and the expander 46 suppresses the oscillation of the base 48 and the follower 49 in the direction perpendicular to the axes thereof with the abutment of the follower 49 on the submarine device 2.
