Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a structure suitable for high speed operation and having power transmission efficiency of dynamic balance in a crank device which transduces reciprocating motion to rotational motion, and vise versa.
CONSTITUTION: An outer diameter of a planetary gear 21 of a planetary mechanism 4 is equal to one half of an inner diameter of a fixed internal gear 20. A crank pin 12 of a crank shaft 2 is rotatably journalled to a rotational center of the planetary gear 21. A connecting rod 3 is rotatably journalled to an outer periphery of the planetary gear 21. The connecting rod 3 is linearly moved in a reciprocating direction of a piston 15 without oscillation, and stable dynamic balance is secured. Each component has mass distribution for obtaining dynamic balance in the reciprocating parts and rotating parts, so that even and stable operation is secured over a low speed rotation area and a high speed rotation area.
