Abstract:
To provide a crankshaft bearing structure capable of discharging granular foreign matters from between a journal bearing and a crank journal, and of securing an appropriate hydraulic pressure even when using low-viscosity oil.SOLUTION: A crankshaft 1 of a crankshaft bearing structure has a plurality of crank journals 11 extending along an axial center Ax1 and arranged at intervals in a direction of the axial center Ax1. On each crank journal 11, the journal bearing is annularly mounted. The crank journal 11 has an outer peripheral face 11a running along an inner peripheral face of the journal bearing, and a recessed part 11b provided in a peripheral part of the crank journal 11 so as to be more recessed in a radial direction than the outer peripheral face 11a. The recessed part 11b is a site for trapping granular foreign matters entering between the crank journal 11 and the journal bearing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
