Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce a facility cost and increase production efficiency by machining a pin journal lubricating hole and its chamfer using a common angle indexing device.
CONSTITUTION: A pin journal lubricating oil hole 8 is drilled aslant from a main journal 2 of a crankshaft 1 to a pin journal 3, and a chamfer 9 of the opening end of the oil hole 8 is machined by a drill 10 that can be moved to the opening end of the oil hole 8 in the pin journal 3 and along an axis Od that is in parallel with the axis O of the oil hole 8 and offset by a proper distance (d).
