Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crawler drive sprocket attachment structure for a drive shaft of a crawler traveling apparatus which makes it possible to lubricate a spline engagement part merely by replacing a drive sprocket attachment nut for a drive shaft of an existing crawler traveling apparatus.SOLUTION: A crawler drive sprocket 3 is spline-engaged with both ends of a drive shaft 1 projected to the right and the left from a transmission case, and the drive sprocket 3 is fixed to the drive shaft 1 using a castle nut 4 screwed to a male thread part 12 at an external end of the drive shaft 1. A round space 8 is formed between a distal end 31a of a bearing 31 of the drive sprocket 3 and the castle nut 4 by interposing an O ring 5 between the distal end 31a of the bearing 31 of the drive sprocket 3 and the castle nut 4. A lubricant passage 42 leading to a spline engagement part 11 via the round space 8 is formed in the castle nut 4, and a grease nipple 6 is disposed at an inlet of the lubricant passage 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
