PURPOSE: The titled skin detergent having improved substance stability without damaging its characteristics, obtained by blending a creamy skin detergent of the N-acyl acidic amino acid salt type having improved skin safety with a specific alcohol and polyethylene glycol.

CONSTITUTION: A creamy skin detergent containing N-acyl acidic amino acid salt such as sodium N-lauroylglutamate, etc. is blended with (A)≥4C polyhydric alcohol containing ≥4C free hydroxyl groups such as maltitol, sorbitol, etc. and (B) polyethylene glycol having a molecular weight of about 200W2,000, preferably 200W1,500 in a weight ratio of A:B of (1:8)W(10:1), preferably (1:4)W(6:1), to give a creamy skin detergent of the N-acyl acidic amino acid salt type having improved stability, appearance, and high skin safety.
