Abstract:

PURPOSE: The titled fiber useful as a composite material having an ideal structure of a specific diameter, a specified aspect ratio, improved mechanical strength, and a large specific surface area, obtained by gaseous-phase method under fluidized state of a starting geseous material.

CONSTITUTION: For example, a starting material of H2, N2, benzene. and ferrocene in a ratio of 82.7: 7.5: 8.6: 1.2 is grown in a fluidized state in a gaseous phase method to give the aimed fiber having 0.01W0.5μm diameters and 2W30,000 aspect ratio.
