To prevent a risk of a portable credit card certification terminal being robbed, read illegally and is abused by detecting the illegal disassembly of a main body case, generating a signal and transmitting terminal ID and illegal decomposition information to a center data processing center, based on the signal of illegal disassembly.
A disassembling detection switch 19 is fitted to the inner side of the main body case of a credit card certification terminal 1, for example. When the case is unlawfully disassembly, a signal informing of the illegal disassembling is given to a microprocessor 11. The micro processor 11 deletes data stored in a ROM/RAM/flash memory 12 and stops subsequent processings. At the same time, ID of the terminal which is unlawfully disassembled and information on the occurrence of unlawful disassembling are notified to the center data processing center through radio. Thus, the central data processing center can immediately comprehend online which terminal has been unlawfully disassembled.
