Abstract:

To provide a crime preventing device for a vehicle, simple in constitution, with its crime preventing effect improved.

This crime preventing device for a vehicle is provided with a vehicle side communication part 61 provided on the vehicle for carrying out communication with a portable machine K, a parking brake 10 to brake wheels of the vehicle, an actuator 20 to switch between a brake state and a release state of the parking brake 10, and control parts 40 and 60 to collate portable machine side discrimination information held by the portable machine K with vehicle side discrimination information held on the vehicle side, and switch between a travel permitting mode to permit transfer from the brake state of the parking brake to the release state and a travel prohibiting mode to maintain the brake state of the parking brake based on the result of collation.
