PURPOSE: To considerably reduce the malfunction by providing a circuit which detects the output difference between an oscillation detecting part and a temperature calibrating part and detects that between a pyroelectric detecting part and the temperature calibrating part.
CONSTITUTION: If a doubtful person enters into a detection range, a piezoelectric body 2 incorporated in an oscillation detecting part 1 detects the oscillation to generate an output. A piezoelectric body 6 in a pyroelectric detecting part 5 detects infrared rays emitted from the doubtful person himself to generate an output. A circuit 9 incorporated in the same module detects the output difference between the output of the oscillation detecting part 1 and that of a temperature calibrating par 7 and detects that between the output of the pyroelectric detecting part 5 and that of the temperature calibrating part 7. When both output differences satisfy preliminarily set arbitrary values together, respective relays are operated.
