PURPOSE: To make a cross hole to complete roundness after sintering by forming a molding member which penetrates the side part of a die body and is movable in and out from the side into a die space to an elliptic or oval shape long by a prescribed amt. in a vertical direction.

CONSTITUTION: A horizontal rod 13 is inserted into a through-hole 3b of a die 3 and is installed in a position where this rod is exposed to the die space 11. Material powder 9 is packed into the die space 11. The material powder is compression molded by lowering an upper punch 7 and rising a lower punch 5. The punches 5, 7 are slightly retreated after compression molding and the horizontal rod 13 is withdrawn by a horizontal driving mechanism 15. The punches 5, 7 are risen to withdraw the compression molded goods 15 to outside from the die space 11. The compression molded goods 15 are sintered. The cross hole 15a of the compression molded goods 15 is formed to the elliptic or oval shape long by the prescribed amt. in the vertical direction and, therefore, the hole is deformed to elongate horizontally and to shrink vertically at the time of sintering and is made to complete roundness after the sintering. Then, the omission of post working and the reduction of a cost are possible.
