Abstract:

To provide a cross-linked composition of a biological origin, a process for preparing the same, a structure of the same, a printed circuit board made from this composition and a process for preparing the structure.

A material of a biological origin such as lignin, an oil of crops, a wood resin, tannin, a polysaccharide or a mixture thereof is cross-linked by using desirably heat, a cross-linking agent and an initiator. The prepared material has properties suitable for printed wiring boards. A glass fiber or a cloth made of a material of a biological origin is impregnated with a mixture comprising a material of a biological origin, a cross-linking agent and an initiator, and the impregnated product is processed by a conventional method to produce a printed circuit board.
