Abstract:

To provide a stably storable one-pack compsn. which does not deteriorate water resistance.

This aq. self-crosslinkable polymer dispersion comprises: a polymer component contg. an aq. dispersion of a latex polymer particle adjusted to a pH value of not less than 6 by the neutralization, the polymer particle having a Hansch value of not less than 1.5 and an acid value of 0 to 25 and comprising at least 5wt.% carbonyl functional group reactive with a nitrogen portion and at least 1wt.% nonacidic functional group having a hydrogen- bondable portion; and a crosslinking agent comprising a nitrogen-contg. compd. having at least two nitrogen functional groups reactive with the carbonyl functional portion, provided that the molar ratio of the crosslinking agent to the reactive carbonyl portion is at least 0.25:1.
