Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the subject crosslinkable composition composed of a peroxide crosslinking type internally crosslinkable acrylic elastomer, a fluoroelastomer and a crosslinking agent, excellent in mechanical strength, compression set, heat resistance and workability and suitable for a packing, an O-ring, etc., of an automobile, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The objective crosslinkable composition is composed of (A) a peroxide crosslinking type internally crosslinkable acrylic elastomer, (B) a fluoroelastomer of a vinylidene fluoride/hexafluoropropylene-based elastomer, etc., and (C) preferably 0.1 to 10 pts.wt. [based on 100 pts.wt. total amount of the components (A) and (B)] crosslinking agent for one or both of the elastomers, e.g. p-chlorobenzoyl peroxide. In addition, the mixture ratio of the component (A) to the component (B) is preferably within a range of [(A)/(B)]=[(20 to 50)/(80 to 50)] on weight base.
