PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect the surface of a plunger from being damaged or from being dented when a hydraulic cylinder is collided against a cut area of a steel beam or the wreckage of reinforced concrete when cutting a steel beam material or crushing a reinforced concrete wall, a floor and so forth.
SOLUTION: A crusher comprises a movable jaw main body A2, which comprises a movable jaw 3 and a rotary operation part 4 and a fixed jaw main body A1 which comprises a fixed jaw 1 and a cylinder housing part 2. The middle part of the movable jaw main body A2 is pivoted on the fixed jaw main body A1 while the movable jaw 3 is openable to the fixed jaw 1. Then, a cylinder 10 of a hydraulic cylinder C is pivoted in the cylinder housing part 2 of the fixed jaw main body A1, thereby pivoting the tip of a plunger 11 of the hydraulic cylinder C on the rotary operation part of the movable jaw main body A2 by way of a plunger pivot Q. Furthermore, a movable side guard 6 is provided so as to cover the surrounding area of the plunger 11 which projects from the plunger pivot Q.
