To obtain broken stone with an objective particle size having a shape near to a cubic shape in a high yield and to suppress the fluctuations of oblateness accompanied by the abrasion of a concave and a mandrel.
In the crushing chamber 1 of a cone crusher formed by the concave 3 and the mantle 2 arranged inside the concave, the angle of inclination of the mantle is 38-41° and the spin quantity of the mantle is 1/19-1/22 of the diameter of the mantle and the angle of inclination of the concave is changed over several stages so as to form nip angles θN1-θN4 between the mantle and the concave and the angle of the inclination of the mantle is constant but the wall thickness of the mantle is changed stepwise to be increased toward a discharge side increased in spin quantity and the nip angles are changed stepwise in a range of 28-4° toward the discharge side and the volume change ratio of the crushing chamber in a crushing process is proportionally reduced in a range of 3.5-1 or 2.5-1 toward the discharge side and the compression ratio accompanied by spinning is proportionally increased in a range of 1.5-4 toward the discharge side.
