Title:
CRYOPRESERVATION METHOD FOR MICROCAPSULATED ORGAN CELL IN IMMUNITY ISOLATING MEMBRANE, MICROCAPSULATED ORGAN CELL IN IMMUNITY ISOLATING MEMBRANE, AND BIO- HYBRID ARTIFICIAL ORGAN MODULE USING MICROCAPSULATED ORGAN CELL IN IMMUNITY ISOLATING MEMBRANE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005304494
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a cryopreservation method for organ cells in immunity isolating membrane attaining storage of sufficient amount cells for a long time while retaining cell functionality in high order avoiding immunological reaction.

The invention relates to the cryopreservation method for organ cells in immunity isolating membrane comprising following processes, a process digesting and then separating organ cells of a living animal (excluding human) or organs from a human in cerebral death state, a process suspending the separated product in a sodium chloride solution containing sodium alginate and collagen and then forming microcapsules of the organ cells from the suspension liquid, a process covering outside surface of the microcapsules of the organ cells by an alginate/poly-L-lysine method to form the immunity isolating membrane, a process floating the organ cells in immunity isolating membrane in a cell damage avoiding solvent, and a process quickly freezing the floating liquid by liquid nitrogen.
