Title:
CRYOPROBE FOR MINIMALLY INVASIVE CARDIAC ABLATION WITH FUNCTIONAL TIP AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING CRYOPROBE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2023035841
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide a cryoprobe for performing precise ablation in the shortest time possible in order to reduce damage to tissues not undergoing ablation.SOLUTION: A cryoprobe comprises: a handle; a first tip 1 having a cooling system for destroying tissues by freezing them; and a functional tip 2. The functional tip is movable relative to the first tip, and has at its end 4 a temperature measuring system 6 for the tissues being destroyed by the first tip. The first tip is mounted in the handle equipped with a button for controlling the functional tip. Both the first tip and the functional tip have a part susceptible to plastic deformation. The cryoprobe is characterized in that the functional tip has a central part susceptible to plastic deformation and a rigid part at its end, and the first tip has a part susceptible to plastic deformation at its end, and the remaining part of the first tip is rigid.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
