PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compounds of new crystal forms of (R)-N-methylnaltrexone useful for reducing side effects associated with opioid therapy, and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound.SOLUTION: This invention relates to compounds of B forms of (R)-N-methylnaltrexone represented by the formula, and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound. Preferably, the pharmaceutical composition is an oral formulation.
