PURPOSE: To obtain a crystal nucleation agent useful as a raw material for a food container, etc., effective for improving the crystallization rate of a polyamide and giving a molded material having excellent mechanical properties by using a metallic salt of rosins as a principal component.
CONSTITUTION: This crystal nucleation agent contains a metallic salt of rosins (preferably at least one kind of salt selected from a group consisting of a metallic salt of dehydroabietic acid, a metallic salt of dihydroabietic acid and a metallic salt of dihydropimaric acid) as a principal component. This crystal nucleation agent is preferably composed of a metallic compound expressed by the formula (R1 to R3 are each H, an alkyl, a cycloalkyl or an allyl) and a metallic salt such as dehydroabietic acid, and the metallic salt is preferably at least one kind of metallic salt selected from a group consisting of Na salt, K salt and Mg salt.
