PURPOSE: To provide the crystal oscillator easily assembled even with a small sized crystal vibrator and supporting the crystal vibrator without giving effect onto the oscillating characteristic.

CONSTITUTION: A disk-shaped crystal vibrator 20 and oscillation circuits 16, 18 using the crystal vibrator 20 for the oscillation are contained in a package 10. The package 10 is provided with a couple of connection sections 22, 24 supporting a ridge of the crystal vibrator 20 and connecting to both electrodes of the crystal vibrator electrically and a couple of support sections 26, 28 supporting the ridge of the crystal vibrator 20. The crystal vibrator 20 is supported by a couple of the connection sections 22, 24 and a couple of the support sections 26, 28.
