PURPOSE: To obtain a crystalline polypropylene having improved rigidity and heat resistance and high hardness, and being excellent in fatigue resistance, abrasion resistance, dimensional stability, chemical resistance, moldability, etc., by forming a polymer having specified properties by using a specified catalyst.
CONSTITUTION: A crystalline polypropylene obtained by using an α-olefin polymerization catalyst component prepared by bringing a solid component essentially consisting of a metal oxide, Mg, Ti, a halogen and an electron-donating compound into contact with an olefin in the presence of an organoalumium compound and an organo-silicon compound represented by the formula: R1Si(OR2)x(OR3)y (wherein R1 is a 5-7 C alicyclic hydrocarbon group; R2 is 2-ethoxyethyl or 2-methyl-3-butin-2-yl; R3 is methyl or ethyl; (x) is 1-2; (y) is 1-2; and x+y=3) and satisfying the relationship: Tp≥118.89-0.2858logω0+0.1991logG0 (wherein Tp is the elution peak temperature as determined by the climbing temperature fractionation, ω0 is the frequency as determined by the dynamic melt viscoelasticity measurement, and G0 is the modulus).
