Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a culture device which can improve culture efficiency compared with the case of culturing a culture target using only a pool or a tank, for example. This culture device is provided with a carrier on the surface of which and/or inside of which a culture fluid flows downwards, and a supply unit which supplies the culture fluid to the carrier. The carrier comprises a plurality of first fibers arranged oriented along the vertical direction and a plurality of second fibers arranged oriented intersecting with the vertical direction. The diffusion speed of the culture fluid in the direction of the second fibers is greater than the diffusion speed of the culture fluid in the direction of the first fibers in the case that the carrier is arranged with the second fibers oriented along the vertical direction.
