Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject apparatus capable of automatically, safely and continuously discharging bubbles by providing a construction for collecting the bubbles generating during culture in a baffle in the upper part of a vessel and discharging the bubbles from vent pipes inserted into the baffle to the outside of the vessel.
CONSTITUTION: A ring baffle 6 is installed in the upper part on an inner wall of a culture vessel 1 having stirring blades 2 and a sparger 4 for feeding culture air. Vent pipes 7 are inserted into the baffle 6 and bubbles generated during culture are collected in the baffle 6 and discharged through the vent pipes 7 to the outside of the vessel by internal pressure. Thereby, continuous culture is carried out.
