Abstract:
To produce a cultured pearl containing an anucleate pearl as a pearl nucleus.
This method for obtaining an anucleate pearl comprises hanging and culturing in sea a pearl oyster into which an anucleate pearl, especially a fresh water pearl and a cut mantle piece, are inserted, allowing to form a pearl layer on the surface of the anucleate pearl, and subsequently recovering the (cultured) pearl from the pearl oyster.
