Abstract:
To obtain a curable aqueous emulsion having excellent safety and storage stability, capable of application to bases in one process, affording the resultant film with excellent solvent resistance and water resistance, along with excellent contamination resistance and chalking resistance and further capable of affording bases with waterproof performance.
This emulsion is obtained by dispersing a (meth)acrylic copolymer having alkoxysilyl groups, a hydrolyzable silane compound and a block polymer consisting of polyoxyalkylene segment and polyorganosiloxane segment and having a silicon content of 35-85 wt.% in an aqueous medium, and further, dispersing colloidal silica in the medium.
