To provide a curable composition suitable for making a so-called permanent film for applications such as fine processing of a member for a liquid crystal display, such as a thin film transistor of a liquid crystal display, a protective film for a liquid crystal color filter, a spacer, or the like.

The curable composition including a modified inorganic fine particle (A) is obtained by mixing a liquid dispersion including the modified inorganic fine particle, which is obtained by linking an inorganic fine particle having an average particle size of 100 nm or less with an organic binder, with a silica gel particle having a particle size of 10 m or more and then removing the silica gel particle having the particle size of 10 m or more. The inorganic fine particle is colloidal silica, and further, the curable composition includes a polymerizable monomer (B) and a photoinitiator (C), wherein the polymerizable monomer (B) is a (meth)acrylic acid ester monomer. The cured product is also obtained by curing the curable composition.
