PURPOSE: To obtain compositions curable by free-radicals, of which elongation and module are improved after being cured, by compounding a copolymer of ethylenically unsaturated nitrile monomers and conjugated dienes, zinc diacrylates and free-radical-generating compounds.
CONSTITUTION: Compositions containing (a) copolymers derived from at least one ethylenically unsaturated nitrile monomer and at least one conjugated diene monomer, which show saturating degree of at least 80% of the diene unit in the copolymer, (b) zinc diacrylate in an effective amount for crosslinking, and (c) free-radical generating compounds in an effective amount for cure are provided. The free radical generating compounds to be used include inorganic peroxide (for example: hydrogen peroxide), azo-compounds (for example: 2,2'- azobisisobutylonitrile), organic peroxide (for example: laurylperoxide).
