To provide curable fluoropolyether-based rubber compositions which can inhibit gas generation by incorporation of diatomaceous earth thereinto and can inhibit variations with time in curability due to the impurities present in the compositions upon heat curing and, in addition, excel in water repellency, oil repellency, solvent resistance, chemical resistance, and weatherability which a fluoropolyether-based rubber possesses.
The curable fluoropolyether-based rubber compositions comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. linear fluoropolyether compound having at least two alkenyl groups in the molecule and, at the same time, a perfluoroalkyl ether structure in the main chain, (B) 10-40 pts.wt. silica based filler having a specific surface area of ≥50 m2/g, (C) 5-35 pts.wt. diatomaceous earth, (D) an organosilicon compound having at least two hydrogen atoms bonded to the silicon atom in the molecule, (E) a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst in effective amounts of component (D) and component (E) to cure component (A).
