Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition useful for a rubber roller, etc., having flame retardance and creep resistance, comprising a specific polyorganosiloxane, a polyorganohydrogensiloxane, zinc oxide, aluminum oxide and a platinum-based compound.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100 pts.wt. polyorganosiloxane containing two or more structural units of formula I [R1 is a vinyl; R2 is a (substituted) monofunctional hydrocarbon containing no aliphatic unsaturated bond; (a) is 1 or 2; (b) is 0, 1 or 2] in the molecule, having 500-500,000cP viscosity at 25°C is blended with (B) a polyorganohydrogensiloxane composed of a structural unit of formula II [R3 is a (substituted) monofunctional hydrocarbon; (c) is 0, 1 or 2; (d) is 1 or 2; c+d is 1-3], containing three or more hydrogen atoms bonded to silicon atoms in an amount to give 0.5-4.0 Si-H bonds based on one R1 of the component A, (C) 2-20 pts.wt. zinc oxide, (D) 2-20 pts.wt. aluminum oxide and (E) 1-100ppm based on the component A of a platinum-based compound.
