To stop the carrying of valve current at a time when a plunger has been surely moved to a terminal end position, to prevent the failure in operation of the plunger caused by the rattling of the plunger, and to prevent the wasteful consumption of the power caused by the excess carrying of valve current, in a current carrying control device of a latch type solenoid valve wherein the plunger is moved in the opening direction by the electromagnetic force by the valve current flowing in a solenoid, and the plunger is held at an opening position after the movement.
This current carrying control device for the latch type solenoid valve comprises a current variation detecting means for detecting the variation of the valve current flowing in the solenoid, and stops the current carrying to the solenoid when the movement of the plunger to the terminal end position is determined when the valve current substantially rises to the initial peak again after the valve current has been once reduced over the initial peak.
