To provide a current carrying device for a sliding door, capable of surely bringing a sliding door-side electrode into contact with a frame-side electrode without contact failure even in a case where the clearance between the upper end of a sliding door and a door frame is large, or the sliding door is shaken by wind or manual operation, preventing slippage of the contact part between both the electrodes at the time of closing the sliding door to prevent generation of electric noise, and further removing dust adhered to each electrode.
A sliding door-side electrode built-in body 23 having the sliding door-side electrode 24 and a sliding door-side magnet 26 and provided on the sliding door is normally energized toward the door frame by a spring 27, and a frame-side electrode built-in body 33 having the frame-side electrode 34 and a frame-side magnet 36 and provided on the door frame is normally energized toward the sliding door by a spring 37. The built-in body 33 is stored in a case 31 opened at the front, and plays are formed between the built-in body 33 and the case 21 in the opening/closing direction and thickness direction fo the sliding door.
