To provide a current output sensor of a two-wire system capable of replacing two external connection terminals optionally with a power source terminal and a GND terminal.
This current output sensor of the two-wire system is provided with the two external connection terminals Ta, Tb in which a power source current flows in one of the terminals from an outside and in which the power source current flows out from the other terminal to the outside, a detecting element S positioned opposedly to a detected object and capable of outputting a detection signal, a signal processing circuit 100 for changing a current supplied to an electric power source side based on the detection signal of the detecting element S to be output, and a connection switching circuit 200 for switching connections between the two external connection terminals Ta, Tb and the signal processing circuit 100 to connect the external connection terminal Ta or Tb of the higher voltage side out of the two external connection terminals Ta, Tb to the electric power source side VIN of the signal processing circuit 100 and to connect the external connection terminal Ta or Tb of the lower voltage side out of the terminals Ta, Tb to an output side OUT of the signal processing circuit 100.
