PURPOSE: To enable detection accuracy of a current sensor for vehicle for detecting generation current of an alternator, especially a current sensor for vehicle using a Hall element.
CONSTITUTION: A certain physical quantity is generated according to generation current of an alternator 25, a current value corresponding to the generated physical quantity is obtained based on a relationship between this physical quantity and current. Then, in a current sensor 34 for vehicle which outputs this current value as a generation current detection value of the alternator 25, a relationship between the physical quantity and current is set based on an offset value of a relationship (primary function) of the above physical quantity which is generated when the generation of the alternator 25 stops and current and generation current detection value of the alternator 25 is obtained based on the relationship which is set individually.
