PURPOSE: To eliminate troubles such as the generation of gaps between pixels, the deterioration of the feed properties of an ink sheet and recording paper, the complicatedness of a manufacturing process or the like by performing recording operation while a current supply recording head is vibrated in a main scanning direction.

CONSTITUTION: An ultrasonic vibrator 23 develops piezoelectric inverse effect of compression and expansion by supplying a current of predetermined frequency to the vibrator 23 to vibrate a recording head in a main scanning direction. Since the size of space 21 in the main scanning direction is preliminarily planned so as to have allowance in a degree capable of freely vibrating the recording head and has a mounting structure not detaching the recording head from a frame, the recording head can be freely vibrated in the main scanning direction. A spring 24 is used in order to eliminate trouble in such a case that the recording head is fixed rigidly to contribute to the free generation of vibration.
