PURPOSE: To move a cursor to the head position in a table frame in a specified direction by providing a process procedure for receiving a direction indication through the specification of frame movement when a user inputs a character string in the table frame.

CONSTITUTION: When it is decided in a frame movement specification decision process that no key is pressed, a cursor moving process ends. When it is decided that a frame movement specification key 11 is pressed, a head position retrieval process for the head position in the frame in the specified direction is performed, next. In this case, when an inputted cursor key is an up cursor key 12, the head position in the frame in the up direction from the cursor is retrieved. Similarly when it is a down cursor key 13, left cursor key 14, or right cursor key 15 is operated, the head position in the frame in the down direction, left direction, or right direction is retrieved. When the retrieval is thus performed, the cursor is moved to the retrieved position through a retrieved position cursor moving process.
