PURPOSE: To make it possible to perform a profiling scan on a complicate curvature freely by providing articulations to the intermediate point and tip of an arm member constituting a parallelogrammic link and by holding a fitted plate at its tip freely slidably.
CONSTITUTION: Fitted plate 24 at the tip of the arm slides to right and left in the traveling direction of the running truck by driving motor 6. At this time, since link 15, and arm members 10a, 12a, 10b, and 12b constitute a parallelogrammic link, fitted plate 24 faces in the travelling direction of the running truck at any time without reference to the slide angle of the arm. The arm device which is mounted on the running truck and holds a TV camera or nondestructive inspection probe on fitted plate 24 slides bending around pins 11a and 11b between arm members 10a and 10b, and 12a and 12b toward the concave surface on which the truck runs. Additionally, it can slide around pin 17 between link 15 and arm member 16.
